MANILA, Philippines --- With the Chinese New Year and the EDSA Revolution Day coming up, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminded employers on Sunday that all employees working on non-working holidays would be entitled to premium pay. Premium pay refers to the additional compensation for work done within eight hours on non-working holidays, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said in Labor Advisory No. 3, Series of 2022. Employees who report for work on such days should be paid an additional 30 percent of their basic wage for the first eight hours of work.
