MANILA, Philippines --- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Thursday announced that it will temporarily close its central and regional offices in the National Capital Region from Jan. 14 to 17, amid rising cases of COVID-19. In a memorandum, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III directed all heads of offices, services and bureaus, including the NCR regional office to resume work on Jan. 18, noting "the increasing number of cases in the department."
