MANILA, Philippines --- House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco received on Monday an Award of Distinction from the University of Santo Tomas Alumni Foundation Inc. through the UST Faculty of Civil Law, of which he is an alumnus. Velasco got the award for his "sterling leadership" of the House of Representatives and his accomplishments as representative of the lone district of Marinduque, former president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines-Marinduque Chapter, and former provincial administrator of Marinduque.
