LEGAZPI CITY -- Three girls died after they were hit by a 10-wheeler truck in Placer, Masbate on Sunday afternoon. Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol regional police spokesperson, identified the victims as Christy Franciso, 16; Jelian Tamayo, 13 and FerdalynCaete, 10--all residents ofBarangayMatagangtangof the said town. Calubaquib said the truck driver, Jomar Tanael, 30, lost control of the vehicle and swerved onto the road's shoulder, hitting the victims at around 3:45 p.m. The victims suffered serious injuries and died on the spot.
